Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using the Motocamp USA website or apps ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is — and isn't

Motocamp USA aggregates camping, road, weather, cell coverage, and points-of-interest information from public and community sources (OpenStreetMap, Recreation.gov, BLM, Open-Meteo, OpenCelliD, and others). This information is provided as-is, for planning purposes only:

Campsite availability, legality, access, fees, and conditions change frequently and vary by jurisdiction. Always verify locally — with land managers, posted signage, and current regulations — before camping, especially dispersed/boondocking sites.
Routing, road-surface, and coverage data are estimates. They are not a substitute for your own judgment, up-to-date navigation, or emergency preparedness in remote areas.
We are not responsible for injury, loss, fines, or damage arising from reliance on the Service. Backcountry travel is inherently risky and you undertake it at your own risk.

3. Accounts

You may browse as a guest. An account (email, Google, or Apple sign-in) stores your saved routes, spots, and preferences. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials. You may delete your account at any time in the app ("Delete account"), which permanently erases your stored data.

4. Purchases

Pro features are unlocked per account. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and refunded under those stores' terms. Purchases made on our website are processed by Stripe; contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL] for billing questions. Entitlements apply across all platforms where you sign in with the same account.

5. Acceptable use

No scraping, bulk-downloading, reselling, or redistributing the Service's data or map tiles beyond the app's built-in offline features.
No attempts to bypass feature gating, rate limits, or authentication.
No unlawful use.

6. Your content

Routes and spots you save remain yours. You grant us the license needed to store and sync them for you. We do not sell your personal data — see the Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party data & attribution

Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors; tiles © Stadia Maps / OpenMapTiles; imagery © Airbus DS / PlanetObserver; campground data from Recreation.gov and BLM; cell data © OpenCelliD (CC BY-SA); weather by Open-Meteo. Their respective licenses apply to their data.

8. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR AVAILABILITY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be noted in the app or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
